Arsenal 6 - 2 Blackburn

After conceding an early penalty, Arsenal soared ahead in no uncertain manner. Toure brought down David Bentley, and Nonda easily converted from the spot, after only three minutes, to put the visitors in front.

It was not long before Arsenal were level, when Gilberto headed home Van Persie-s corner after about 10 minutes. Then Hleb received a great pass from Adebayor, which he pushed past Friedel, and the home side were two up Minutes later Neil floored Van Persie and Adebayor coolly scored from the spot, to give the home side a comfortable lead at the interval.

Blackburn were not done with and got one back after 69 minutes, when Nendo produced an overhead kick, which are always spectacular when they go in. It seemed that the visitors were about to make a game of it, but Arsenal hit back again, with a barnstorming finish. Van Perse bagged two, in the 85th and 88th minutes, before Flamini made it six right at the end, to cap off a great team performance.
