Liverpool 2 - 0 Watford
After an able first half performance, Watford capitulated to the class act which Liverpool are, and they were put firmly in their place - at the bottom of the Premiership!
Craig Bellamy broke the ice early in the second half, and put the ball past Foster, who had been excellent in goal for the visitors. Even so Watford nearly equalised, when Young's shot was just tipped over by Reina.
It seemed that Bellamy's was to be the only goal of the match. Then in the 88th minute, Alonso's shot from about 25 yards went whistling into the top corner to consolidate a fine win for the home side.
