Double Trouble

Aston Villa 0 - 3 Manchester United

The way he is playing it is not surprising that Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a pair! He has pace, ball skills a 'plenty, and enough shooting power to scare any opposition!

Despite their early season successes, Villa were very much the underdogs to high class United. However, at the interval there was no score and a goalless draw was not the result United wanted. They need not have worried, because although his first shot was blocked, Ronaldo made no mistake with the rebound to put his side in the lead.

Shortly afterwards a Giggs corner was cleared, but unfortunately for Villa the ball fell to Paul Scholes, who fired in a magnificent volley from about 25 yards. United were now in top gear and in a smart move initiated by substitute Wayne Rooney, Neville found Ronaldo who tapped in his second goal.

It was a fine United performance to keep Chelsea on their toes.
