Arsenal Run Out Of Ammo'

A disappointing Arsenal were outgunned by this determined Fulham side, who took their revenge for being beaten on the opening day by new boys Hull City.

In a well considered move Bullard crossed the ball to Hangeland who was able to fire the ball home after about 21 minutes. At the end it proved to be the only goal of the match, giving the home side a well deserved victory, over a somewhat subdued Arsenal.

Soon after Fulham went ahead Adebayor had the opportunity to equalize but a fine header was denied by the post. New signing Zamora wasn't far off putting Fulham further in front when he drove a good ball from Ki-Hyeon over the bar.

Arsene Wenger obviously realized that his side were not playing up to standard, and substituted Theo Walcott with Nicholas Bendtner with 65 minutes gone. However, the visitors were not inspired and it seemed that they had left their shooting boots at home. That may have well been the case as you would have to say that the injured Fabregas was sorely missed.

Arsenal could have salvaged a point in the closing minutes, but Adebayors shot was readily saved by goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.

This was a good win for Fulham but Arsenal will need to pull their socks up if they are to guarantee their 'top four' standing.
